History - Domaine Vincent Latour in Côte d'Or 21

The estate Jean Latour Labille & Sons is a family run business since 1972 consisting of 8 hectares and producing one of the great French white wines – Le Meursault.
In 1998, Jean Latour gives way to Vincent and his mother who creates the Domaine Jean Latour LABILLE & FILS.

Vincent's wife, Cécile, joined in 2004 after obtaining a BPREA CFPPA in Beaune. In 2005 the area was expanded with the takeover of a vineyard in Pommard, in 2006, two vines on St. Aubin, Volnay in 2007.

In 2008, Vincent and Cécile create a trading company "Maison Vincent LATOUR" in order to redeem the share of priority vines made sharecropping. It also allows them to complement the range of field and other soils make wine through a partnership with winemakers who have the same production philosophy. They can thus obtain an equivalent quality to the field LATOUR Vincent.

In 2009, Cécile and Vincent open a very comfortable Lodge (3 stars) under the castle: le Gîte des Meix

In 2011, after the departure of Vincent’s mother, the ‘Domaine’ change its entity and is named
« Domaine Vincent LATOUR »

An estate where a warm welcome and quality combine wonderfully in splendid vaulted cellars of the 18th centuries and an ideal place to taste the wines of the estate
Meursault Perrieres, Meursault Charmes and many others.

Vincent and Cécile will be happy to welcome you on your next visit to Meursault.
You can stay a few days at the lodge gîte with stunning views over the vineyard

Maturation of wines

The maturation takes place over 18 months in oak barrels. We don’t use many new barrels to avoid completely masking the subtle flavours and aromas of Meursault.
In small quantities the oak is unperceivable but in the case of Meursault it contributes to the nut and toast bouquet and the complexity of its maturity.
